The Fertility & Reproductive Medicine clinic supports those patients seeking fertility care. The position will be 10-hour shifts, with rotating call with 2 APPs and 1 MD.
Job Summary
The Nurse Practitioner (NP) provides service to patients in designated care settings, including: acute, short and long-term care, by assisting physicians, assessing patients, and treating injuries and ailments. Obtains a thorough medical history from patients and performs examinations/assessments to determine patient's needs. Works in collaboration with providers and independently to provide care. Formulates a plan for treatment and prescribes medications as legally authorized. Maintains complete and detailed records of patients' health care plans. Provides patients with information needed to promote health, reduce risk factors, or prevent disease or disability. Conducts research into area of specialty and uses findings to improve patient care and clinical outcomes.
This role will require varying shifts, on-call rotations, including nights, and weekends as needed.
Qualifications
Completion of a master’s, postmaster’s, or doctorate from a nurse practitioner program accredited by the Commission on the Collegiate of Nursing Education or National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission. Current licensure by the applicable state board of nursing for advanced practice. Current Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) permit to prescribe controlled substances. Certified Women's Health (WHNP-BC) or Family Nurse Practitioner (NP-C) or (FNP-BC).
